We are looking for a cheerful, friendly, self motivated, punctual and responsible English teacher. The teacher should be a native English speaker and the position requires a university degree. Experience of teaching children at International/Nursery school is preferable. Japanese speaking ability is not essential.
Our lesson is characterised as “Dual lesson” which means that Japanese and foreign teacher’s lessons are synchronized, therefore preparation is comparatively less. The average lesson time is 30 minutes. Must be able to prepare lessons independently as there are only a few foreign teachers.

• Contract period: At least 1 year. Long term is preferable.
• Starting Salary: 250,000 yen per month. Training term is required. After the training period, salary will be raised to 260,000 yen. A bonus of 150,000yen will be paid at the fulfillment of the one-year contract.
• Working time: Tuesday to Saturday, 40 hours per week.
• Holidays: 116 days per year. Sunday, Monday and some national holidays. About one week in spring, winter and summer.

Good understanding of cultural differences.

Qualify

• Because we wish to provide a stable learning environment for our students, we require a minimum three month’s commitment.
• Our sports lessons are taught in English. Most of our students are foreigners or locals that want to learn sports and also improve their English. Therefore all applicants must be able to demonstrate fluent English ability.
• We do not expect you to be a professional with 10 years experience, but you do need to have some knowledge of the sports we teach.
• Our students are between 4-14 years old, so experience working with children is an advantage.

Training
All successful applicants receive a minimum two days of initial training along with three lessons of supervised teaching/training.

Working Hours
Approximately 10 hours per week. Depending on demand.

Salary
The salary starts at ¥3,000 per one hour lesson. An additional ¥500 is paid for every kid above 5 kid’s. Example: for a lesson with 10 kid’s your salary will be ¥5,500 per hour!
